Let me tell you, fall in Chicago is a dream and is probably underrated. The colors you will encounter in they city during fall are simply beautiful. There are so many wonderful spots to discover during fall in Chicago which is why I decided to list my favorites here and show you exactly where to go during fall season for photoshoots. If you love autumn and tones like oranges, yellows and reds put this city on your bucket-list for the next fall season. Fall foliage in Chicago is perfection and I probably did not even know myself until this year. This blogpost will list the best fall photospots Chicago has to offer.

Millenium Park

One of the must places to visit during fall is the Millenium park. The park is full of gorgeous maple trees and you fill wind plenty of places to take photos at. I could spend so many hours at this park because it is full of gorgeous colors. The maple leaves are usually in full red color by the end of October.

Gold Coast

The Gold Coast has lots of houses that are nicely decorated throughout fall. Just walk around the neighborhood and you will find plenty of cute porches to shoot at.

The Bean

This is probably the most iconic place for a fall photo in Chicago, so make sure to take a photo here. Colors will be the most beautiful during the last week of October – this is when the tree will most likely be fully red and it is beautiful!

Promontory Point

One of the greatest parks in Chicago for fall foliage is the Promontory Park right by the lake shore! The colors are usually in peak around mid October. You will find yellow and orange trees and I can assure you it is beautiful.

Lincoln Park

Lincoln park is also a great spot for the best a fall photospots and a great photoshoot during fall. There several benches and cute paths that offer wonderful photo opportunities.

Riverwalk

The Riverwalk is my favorite place to shoot in Chicago and during fall it is also a great place to shoot. Honestly there are so many spots to shoot along the riverwalk so I would just suggest to stroll around the area and I am sure you will find some incredible spots. You will not be disappointed. My personal favorites are between DuSable bridge and Dearborn bridge.

University of Chicago

The University of Chicago is such a gem – not only because of the incredible architecture of the building but also because the neighborhood is beautiful in general. The university building is covered in ivy and the ivy looks stunning in autumn. There are also tons of trees that turn yellow during fall.

Grant Park

Grant Park is located next to Millenium Park and also has tons of trees that change the color during autumn. This fall was the first time I actually took photos during this season and would love to shoot here again.

Jackson Park

This fall was actually the first time I visited the Jackson Park that is close to the Museum of Science that you can see in backdrop of the photos. I went there during the first November week and loved the vibrant fall colors and leaves on the ground.

Pumpkin Patches

Pumpkin Patches are so common in the USA and I am obsessed with them. The decor is just always so cute with lots of hay and pumpkins all over the place. One of my favorites in Chicago is Jacks Pumpkin Patch. They usually are open in throughout October.
